Katie Gallagher | Managing Director

Katie Gallagher is the Managing Director of Manchester Digital, the largest trade body for technology and digital businesses in the North.

​

Under Katie's leadership, Manchester Digital has made a significant impact on the success of the tech and digital industry in the region, taking a lead on the development of innovative talent and skills projects and currently working to improve the regions' cybersecurity capacity through the Digital Security Centre.

Shaun Fensom | Digital Infrastructure Strategist 

Shaun Fensom has over 25 years’ experience in computing and the internet. Shaun co-founded Poptel, the pioneering on-line services provider that became one of the UK’s first ISPs and also launched the .coop top level internet domain in the first round of new TLDs in 2001.


Shaun combines that experience with specialist expertise in the development of digital and on-line business sector for economic and social progress, business case and implementation of digital infrastructure including “next generation” broadband and innovation using community and mutual ownership in digital sector and infrastructure businesses.

Jo Edwards | Assistant Chief Constable, North West Regional Organised Crime Unit

Jo Joined Lancashire Constabulary in 1994 and has spent the majority of her career working across investigative portfolios.

​

She returned to the NWROCU in 2021 having spent three years as the temporary Assistant Chief Constable responsible for crime and specialist capabilities. In 2022 Jo commenced her role as the Assistant Chief Constable for North West Collaborations and formally became a Director of the North West Cyber Resilience Centre.

​

Jo brings a range of operational policing experience having worked across the areas of major and serious crime, counter-terrorism, covert policing, criminal justice, forensics, digital, cyber and public protection. She has been responsible for leading significant organisational change across a number of strategic partnerships and across regional collaborations.

​

In her role has Director of the NWCRC Jo looks forward to building on the foundations already established within the region, and to supporting the roll out of the NWCRC across the five areas of Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside in order to protect SME’s from the impact of Cybercrime.
